Ahem....Testing.....are we live??? Alright here we go. This is Bria Frech live in the delightful little town called Astoria,Oregon. This is the home to the Goonies,Astoria's famed Lower Columbia Bowl and our beloved Astor Column (pic 1). About a year ago we were also home to a hurricane type storm that not only left our town in shambles and cold, but our beautiful trees were torn apart by the devastating high winds. Fast forward to Dec. 21 and you can see (pic 2) these poor trees are receiving more devastation.Starting about a week this area was hit with more snow then seen in over forty years combined with the occasional rain and freezing temps these trees branches were cowering under the weight of snow and ice.We need to save these trees.....the pain of the trees is felt by many in the community. One was even seen making angels in the snow(pic 3) at three am in hopes that it would save these beloved trees. This is Bria Frech here in Astoria now back to you.
