Winter 30 years ago in Portland

These are photos taken at the Harbor 1 Marina on 33rd Ave and Marine Drive in the winter 30 years ago. The Columbia RIver was frozen solid at the marina's 400 feet out to the river. The river was a mass of ice chunks floating downstream. I used this time to get out on the ice and wax the side of my boat hull that was opposite the walkway. There photo's were a couple days after the ice started to melt but you can see the water was frozen solid. Was about 3 inches think.
This has not happened since.
