Perfect snow for a sleigh ride

The snow was perfect as it did not pack up in the horses hooves, it was plenty deep enough to get the 100+ year old sleigh out. We have always said, if we get enough snow we will get the sleigh out, never really expecting it to ever get deep enough or stay around long enough, or get a day off of work, all the key factors to happen in harmony. It took about a hour to get the sleigh out of storage, the shafts to fit it, the horse harnessed, we had to put his blanket back on him as he was cold. We got out onto our quiet neighborhood street SE Wichita Ave, and kept getting stopped by folks going "wow" can we get pictures of you, or can we get a photo of us in the sleigh. My favorite was some friends who have kids, they stop by all the time to see the horses, they were out and we gave the family a ride. We had a great day, Copper trotted slowly up and down the street, especially heading towards home.
