I live in east Vancouver, and these are some picture I took Thursday evening.
The roads in my neighorhood are totally covered with packed snow. In many spots, you can't see where the sidewalk ends and the roads begin.
There's mostly older folks in my neighborhood so getting out to shovel is not an option for many of them.
Most people are here staying home, but a few with large trucks have braved their way out.
Most of the yards are totally covered with snow because of the snow fall and drifts caused by the winds. In my yard, there are spots were snow is probably 8 inches to a foot deep.
This picture was taken Thursday. The gnome sits on top of a stump in now almost completely covered in snow. You can only see the top of his hat.
