We noticed the birds eating a few left over apples in this tree behing the house, and after the first day, the apples were gone. We put out some bird seed from the store, but they did not seem interested. Then we bought some apples and stuck them up in the tree and the birds loved that. We have had thrushes, blue jays, and sparrows all pecking at the apples. The young deer seemed to be all alone and ventured onto the porch, eating the little green that was on the plants there. We put a few apples under the tree for her also.
