A friend from Olympia bragged they made a 6 foot tall snowman, so, to defend the honor of the Vancouver/Portland area snowstorm, we decided to build a 9 foot tall snowman! (with a blue mohawk).
Rolling together giant snowballs from the snowdrifts in our Salmon Creek neighborhood, we (the Vaswani and Pou families) constructed the giant dude, complete with his 5 buttons, carrot-nose, winsome smile, and ice-sheet mohawk. Blue food coloring perfected the 'do.
He stands 9 feet tall, with the mohawk, and weighs (we estimate) half a ton.
