I figured out that we have resident hummingbirds in Fairview that can't be chased away even by the worst snowstorm in recent memory, so we have been bringing the feeder in to thaw it every day. It certainly doesn't take them long to figure out that the buffet is open! I thawed the feeder out, hung it up and waited with the camera to catch this shot. One day the smallest of birds couldn't even wait for me to hang it, but came right up and ate from the feeding before it left my hand!
