I decided to take a nature walk in celabration of the winter solstice through forest park from Lower Maclay Park up to Pittock Mansion. It was a perfect day to have off from work and a beautiful way to celebrate the first day of winter. The day was very peaceful with very few people out and about, except for a few cross country skiers, that exceptional morning.
