Fire in a Vancouver Neighborhood

I saw the house as it caught on fire, and was the first to dial 911 as plumes of black smoke were coming from the house. It was around 10:50 that I called them, and by about 11:00 the firetrucks had arrived. The time between the initial call and when they arrived seemed a lot longer than 10 minutes, mostly because in those 10 minutes, the house really got a lot of damage from the flames. I was surprised. My dad ran to the house, as we live across the street, and knocked furiously on the door. When the owner opened the door, everyone was evacuated, and they opened the garage. The fire had started in the back left part of the garage. My dad then went around to the other houses nearby the flaming house and alerted them of the fire. About seven firetrucks, 3 ambulances, and an uncountable amount of fire rescue vehicles had arrived, including one Fire Rescue REHAB Bus. The fire line tape had been put up all around the house, and street, covering some of my yard as well. Neighbors showed up almost all at the same time. My friend, Alex (Swizzy, 14), and his brother (Eric, 11) came over as well from a nearby neighborhood. As of Now, 2:15 PM most of the fire vehicles have left, and tow trucks to remove the charred vehicles inside the garage have arrived. The house is still smoking and damaged. The house next door also suffered some damage to their siding as well.
