Bob....You don't have to be in a high risk flood plain to get flood insurance!Anyone can get it. You just pay more if you are in a high risk area. Remember to call early too cause there is a 30 day waiting period or 90 moratorium after a flood event.

Floods scare me so much. We have state farm and they won't let us get flood insurance. We were told we weren't in a flood plane. But you never know! When looking at all these pictures! And it seems this year there are new areas being flooded!!!

I wish flood insurance was more available and affordable for these families. My mother, step father and all his family live on this road. They are the only few that have not evacuated yet.The Kalama River is just about to their door and no flood ins.Sad

The two photos which show a road covered in water with an orange truck to the right in the photo is not Kalama Road, it's Laverne Drive which is a road which comes off of Kalama Road. I used to live on this road. I'm glad I don't now. Be safe!
