I was stationed in Guam in 1997 when "Super Typhoon Paka" came through. Winds were clocked at over 230 miles an hour. The Typhoon started up at 4pm Dec. 16. By 5:30 our lights went out, and we started bailing water from 6pm to 2am. (You will be happy to know, no one was hurt.)
BUT...the high winds that have hit Gresham since Saturday morning...this is CRAZY!!!! Downed tree's, no power Saturday night, shingles flying off the roof's. Check out the photos. These are from our Condo complex (1702 NE Hogan Drive, Gresham)
