at 2 pm a car coming around a curve on highway 18 lost control and flipped over several time before landing on the passenger side in a ditch. Both passengers, a married couple, were alert and stuck in the car. Local firefighters and police responded and were able to use the jaws of life to remove the victims before transporting them to the hospital.

Drove by the scene at about 10pm. Sat in traffic for nearly an hour. Looked like extra-heavy-duty tow truck was arriving just as we were finally moving again. Miraculous that nobody was killed.

There was a similar accident. Rollover on 18 into the river involving a mother & her young kids including an infant. Alcohol may have played a part in the accident.
