The flock of seagulls dive bombing the water just South of the Sellwood Bridge pointed out the return of the Sellwood Sea Lion today, January 27, 2009. The "PRC-Lion" as it is called due to its regular proximity to the Portland Rowing Club took the belly of this salmon and headed for the center of the Willamette as the birds scurried to pick up the pieces that are always left behind. The sea lion usually just takes one large bite out of the middle and leaves the rest for others to eat.
