Visitors to Minto Brown park should use caution, especially when walking their pets on the trails, since signs have recently been posted, warning of Coyote sightings.
The howl of coyotes could be heard coming from the park in the wee hours of the morning this week, for anyone living in the surrounding neighborhood.
If they are visible, they will usually keep their distance and any noise will startle them away, so carrying a pocket alarm can be useful. But they've been known to try to carry off small pets, even leashed ones if they can grab them.
We saw no sign of them during our walk at Minto Brown park this week, but saw the signs posted and curtailed our walk a bit.

My dog, Chuck, being part WereWolf, fears no coyote. He scoffs at them. He eats them.
