A banner day!!

Last Sunday, 4/19, was Larry's first day out fishing this season. He mainly went out to see how the boat was running which is typically a bit tempermental first day out. Not only did the boat start right up but Larry had this Spring Chinook hooked within the first hour on the water. He also caught a beautiful bass that he released. We kept this beauty and grilled it for dinner. It was a perfect first day of fishing for 2009! The fish was caught on the Columbia River in the Home Valley area.

Larry is the manager of the Springcreek Hational Fish Hatchery in Underwood, WA., on the Columbia River.

Thanks Know it All. The rest of you are a bunch of ignorant jerks. The fish was caught legally in open waters on the Columbia. Do you really think he is so desperate to fish that he would put his job at risk? What a bunch of anonomous idiots!

Since that guy lives in the gorge, and the fish was caught in the CR near home valley, i would guess he was fishing the Wind river bubble and not the "Colombia" below Bonneville dam. The wind bubble is open. Think it through!
