While walking across our yard we almost failed to spot another very welcome resident of the Asian Pear Farm, a Brown Salamander. Creatures having moist, scale-less skin are called amphibians, not lizards. The prehistoric looking salamander makes you want to pick him up to see if he is real. Salamanders do have their own defense mechanism and are very poisonous to handle, so please don’t touch them. Salamanders are also representative that one is taking care of business without sacrificing the environment.
I hope he brought his family.
