4th of July

Our little town of Cougar is always much busier on the summer weekends, especially when the sun is out and the lakes are so inviting. But the approximate 1/2 mile of Hwy 503 that makes up our town filled with spectators last evening.

Locals and tourists alike gathered to enjoy over an hour of fireworks displayed up and down the stretch of road. Many comments were made today about just how amazing the show really was. The whole thing reminded me of many "grand finales" that I have attended over the years.

Cougar is located approximately 25 miles east of Woodland, Washington near Mount Saint Helens. Annually our local businesses collect donations to host a 4th of July firework display. Then word of mouth gets out letting everyone know about the show.

It is definitely the place I will be July 4, 2010.
