Skyler was fishing with her dad on the south santiam river July 3rd . She was anticipating her first steelhead ever at nine years of age. Little did she know, while she was having the fight of her life, 20 kayakers were watching her victory over the fish. When her dad finally netted the 8.5lb steelhead the spectators on the bank erupted with cheers and applause.
