We Can't GIVE Money Away!

Times can't be that tough around the Puget Sound area. Three local businesses have come together for an upcoming Bikini Car Wash with the majority of proceeds benefiting local charities. But try as they might, they can't find a local charity willing to accept their donation.

Ronnie, with LocalPrivateGame.com, came up with the idea for the Free Bikini Car Wash and quickly partnered with Java Girls Espresso and Sunset Cars of Auburn. The idea was to promote all three businesses as well as help local charities.

His good intention is finding some bad luck. “We see this idea as a win for all involved but we’re having a hard time finding a local charity that’s willing to accept our donation. We’ve been turned down by Make-A-Wish Foundation and Northwest Harvest.” Ronnie wonders if a dying child experiencing their dream trip to Disney World or a hungry family that receives some food really cares that was made possible in part by a donation from girls wearing bikinis. Well, what do you think, would they really care?

Wake up and smell the advertising says ... on Thursday, Jul 23 at 11:36 PM

Is this really a story, or just an opportunity to get a bunch of people talking about a "controversy" that conveniently includes business names (including a Web site). Would love to see proof those organizations turned down donations.

Most charities are skeptical of partnering with a group that makes a huge show of their donation...basically looking for free advertising.

That's right, Susan. God forbid men ever get physically aroused. I mean where would we be if people actually got aroused? Remind me again how you're even on this planet? Oh, right, you daddy got aroused by your mother.

StupidArgumentsAgain... says ... on Tuesday, Jul 21 at 9:11 PM

Besides, what's more degrading, washing a car in a bikini and earning money to help save a dying child, or sitting in your car with your tongue hanging out, handing over dollar after dollar as you drool on yourself? It's EMPOWERING, not degrading

StupidArgumentsMakeMeMad says ... on Tuesday, Jul 21 at 9:03 PM

I am a happy, secure, and yeah, I'll say it... FAT woman in Seattle. These women are VOLUNTEERING to do this to BOTH promote their businesses AND donate money to the charities. Good for them! It's not degrading, it's THEIR CHOICE!!!!

ImBigger says ... on Tuesday, Jul 21 at 4:34 PM

its the same thing if a group of guys wanted a charity car wash and decided to wear swim trunks. would that be "offensive", no it would be a car wash on a hot day and they are trying to be the most comfortable in the heat, so they wear swimsuits!

ImBigger says ... on Tuesday, Jul 21 at 4:30 PM

this is rediculous, its 95 outside and the girls want to do a car wash for charity, what do u expect them to wear? a parka? of course they are going to wear bikinis.

ANCSteve says ... on Tuesday, Jul 21 at 2:38 PM

Megan - "naked in a bikini" is an oxymoron. I'm naked under my clothing too - and I'll be you are too. Sheesh - get a life - or a dictionary.

Sarge says ... on Tuesday, Jul 21 at 1:40 PM

Cancer Survivor: Death is a degrading thing. You and others will accept transplanted organs to replace your cancerous ones. WOW!! It's okay to exploit the dead and their families with no compensation, but these girls can't wash cars in bikinis....

Susan says ... on Tuesday, Jul 21 at 11:38 AM

JERKYBOB-it is BEYOND attraction-- a sexual perversion - -I am sure if your daughter was one of them you would feel differently. Why can't you just donate money to the charity--without being AROUSED? Maybe cuz u r the only one JERKing YOUR BOB!!!

Women, take notice of how those chicks look in that picture. If you can't find a man in Seattle, it's because you are fat!

Don says ... on Tuesday, Jul 21 at 9:31 AM

Without sex, you wouldn't be here. It is completely natural, and perfectly normal. Maybe some of you were hatched, but for the rest of us, that "satan activity" is what put us here. And this is just girls in bikinis. Give me a break you prudes

Don says ... on Tuesday, Jul 21 at 9:22 AM

Are the girls being forced to wash the cars? Are the customers being forced to get their cars washed there? If you don't want to see girls in bikinis, stay home. Oh, and don't watch TV, or go on the internet, or read any printed material.

Cancer Survivor says ... on Tuesday, Jul 21 at 8:18 AM

Being a former patient of St. Jude's Hospital, I would like to applaud MAW for not accepting the money. I would not want to spend money that was raised in such a degrading way. I would rather not spend money at all! This is offensive to women.

Gigglz says ... on Tuesday, Jul 21 at 6:42 AM

Dan says ... on Monday, Jul 20 at 2:37 PM

I know most don't believe this and everyone has their own choice to make. Don't gripe at me for having different morals, we all have our own choice to believe what we want. Freedom of choice doesn't make it right. You make up your own rules, right?

Northern Redneck says ... on Monday, Jul 20 at 2:35 PM

Women dressed in bikinis and undergarments grace commercials, circulars, ads, and billboards. This is what makes you same hmmm... Taking money earned from a car wash where women dressed in swim wear is bad. Who knew?

Dan says ... on Monday, Jul 20 at 2:33 PM

I think a beautiful woman is a great thing. Sex is a great thing as well. But when and where is the key. Marriage. So many issues are created from taking this wonderful creation and enjoying it outside of where it was meant to be enjoyed.

Anonymous in Auburn says ... on Sunday, Jul 19 at 11:06 PM

I honestly do understand the cause behind this,BUT..if the real reason was for Charity sake, they would make lots more if they wore shorts and targeted everyone and put on a t-shirt and cut-offs. I think this is just to promote Java Girls instead

"Justronnie" (the writer of this story) is the "Ronnie" in the story. Don't be fooled, this isn't journalism. This is a very one-sided, self-serving story and Ronnie is the one who should be ashamed of himself.

Ronin says ... on Saturday, Jul 18 at 4:13 PM

Why so offended that charities don't want to take money from these self-serving businesses? They're not doing it for charity, they're doing it for it's advertising value. If "Ronnie" etc. were sincere do you think they'd be badmouthing the charities?

I think it is a great idea. The women washing cars in their bikinis would not be doing it if they did not want to.

Paul says ... on Wednesday, Jul 15 at 11:18 AM

Megan, it's not oppressive to women for them to wear a bikini and wash cars, and for people to enjoy it. That's equivalent to being funny and dressed like a clown being oppressive to the clown.
