Buddy, my 18 1/2 lb., almost 9-year old male Maine Coon cat had some seriously matted hair that no amount of brushing was going to detangle. While at home in Eastern Oregon for a visit with my parents last week, I took him to the vet last week so he could be sedated before the grooming process began. The mobile pet groomer met me at the clinic and let me watch him shave all that hair off my cat. By the looks of a few of his after groom pictures, I don't think Buddy was a happy camper with his new hair style. But he seems to have adjusted well enough.
