They are bright, they are electric blue, and they can only be seen at peak hours after sunset, they are Noctilucent clouds. Noctilucent clouds are a rather recent Space and weather phenomenon, they are thin wispy clouds that hover at the edge of space. These strange clouds are normally only seen in higher Northern hemisphere, but in the recent weeks, they have been seen all over the Northern United States, including right here in Oregon and even in the Portland area. This was my 1st time viewing these spectacular clouds myself, and it's a real treat. The reason why they appear and where they are appear is still a mystery, and why they are appearing so far south is a greater mystery. So keep your eyes peeled around 30-60mins after sunset, if you see light blue wispy clouds toward the horizon, chances are you're seeing Noctilucent clouds!
