Frog in a pond

Frog in a pond

This big frog, with a bright yellow underside, is hanging out in a pond along with others down the street from our Oregon City house. My grandson Landon and I takes daily walks to check out the frogs, nutria and ducks that live in this and other ponds in the area. That pond also is the home to a couple nutria and several ducks and everyone seems to get along just fine. I took this photo with my Nikon D50 using a telephoto lens.

Great photo! Unfortunately it is the non-native American bullfrog, considered an invasive species here in Oregon due to negative effects on our native fish and wildlife. Same with the nutria.
