My daughter's been bugging me about having her teeth whitened, so I started looking online for info from what I thought were reputable sources.

I saw the ad right on your website: DON'T Pay for White Teeth. I read the woman's story about getting free trials from two different companies and using the products in tandem to produce quick and lasting results.

The subheader on the ad reads "Learn the trick, discovered by a mom to turn yellow teeth white for less than $5." Since I paid shipping for the trials, I thought they'd mail additional info about the product and trying to get me to buy more. I paid about $6 for shipping, received the products with instructions for use (no additional info was included), and my daughter used them for about two weeks.

Yesterday, another package arrived from Dentech with a note saying that I'd agreed to have monthly shipments sent to me. I immediately cancelled, but my credit card has been billed $88.97 since I didn't cancel within the first two weeks.

Fearing the same thing with the other product, I immediately called DazzleWhite to cancel: they told me that I still have to pay $58.75 for what they'd already sent me, since I didn't cancel soon enough. No worries, though... They already have my credit card number!

Both companies claim that the agreement I signed electronically "clearly" states that I've agreed to pay, but I didn't see it anywhere.
In these financial times, who can afford nearly $150 per month to whiten their teeth?! I feel cheated, and it's even worse that I found the ad right on the KATU website. I thought that, if I found it there, it must be legit. Now I suspect that the two companies may be working together, and the woman's story is part of the scam to give buyers a DOUBLE hit to their credit card.

If there's any recourse I have, I'd love to hear it. Unfortunately, I fear there's nothing I can do - but at least I can warn others so nobody else gets scammed as I did.

Please remove the ad from your website and let your viewers know - this is a pretty sneaky scam!

After I cx my order they charged my acct again :(Well I finally got all of my money back. My bank was fantastic and they are disputing the charges too. Had to change our #'s too! I waited 30 days for my refund and never heard from that company again.

We did the same thing. Two companies, Dazzlesmile of Colorado and Cleanwhite of Florida gave us the 1-2 punch. We notified our bank, had to change our bank card account #'s; and they are disputing the charges. I may notify Attorney General.

I also ordered both and was charged $149.99 and $87.00 separately plus the $3.99 for the actual tube and a foreign exchange rate charge. It's been a nightmare trying to get the money back. Still no results.

Update! Spoke to 1 person he offered me a discount instead of $92.37 I only had to pay $40, NO THANKS! Then I spoke to CJ (either very nice or very smooth talker) he said he will refund my money I just have to email him about how I liked the product!

Didnt know i was paying for a thing till I saw my credit card bill. Immediately called them and demanded my money back. They said they would refund all of my money if I sent back the unused portion.Did that, still no refund. Dazzlewhite is a scam!

OMG!!! I just received my statement and was shocked to find out ULTRADENTAWT*WHI 866-507-1330 charged me $92.37 When I bought the trial for $.99 I didn't even get a confirmation to the order, it acted like the order didn't go through. JERKS

Thanks for the info. I sense a class-action lawsuit due to the fact that the ad leads you to believe that you are only buying trial sized tubes for the cost of shipping. Who in the right mind would pay $150/month for this... nobody. Shameful

Unfortunately it is a popular ad for websites because they are making money whenever somebody clicks the ad and falls for the scam.

Barry don't settle for half, call your credit card company and dispute the charge!!!!! They WILL be able to assist you like this, in credit services we get stuff like this all the time... again, don't settle for half!!!

same thing happend to my wife. We contaced them in three days after they where deliverd but they tryed to tell us the 14day grace period had passed we ended up arguing with then for two days befor they agreed to give us half our money back.

Thank you for sharing your story. This helps educate people about these online deals that seem too good to be true. SHAME on KATU for partnering with such a business. Where are their ethics? Bad business practice=loss in consumer trust

just review whatever you signed online. if it did not state that the companies can bill you, then call VISA and dispute the charge. If you really never agreed to it, then VISA will take care of it right away.
