On a calm sunny August day at Glen Eden beach Milwaukie resident Marc Young found himself face to face with a shark. The juvenile shark washed ashore while Marc was enjoying a weekend at the beach with his family. When it became apparent that nobody was going to help the animal Marc took matters into his own hands "litreally", and returned the shark to the sea.
Fearing only for the safety of innocent bystanders. Local Milwaukie resident Marc Young rescues shark at Glen Eden beach on August 9th.

They are baby salmon sharks and they look like great whites. We found a dead one in Taft on the beach on Monday.

Sharks are my favorite animals. It was nice to see someone save a shark like Marc did rather than kill a shark like the fishermen off of Depot Bay. Sharks are endangered and we need to save them as much as we need to save the cute pandas. Kudos Marc!
