About 2:00 PM, Right at Rufus Oregon a truck transporting onions stopped along I 84 because of brake problems, subsiquently it sparked fire in the dead grass and this fire was the result. It was totally put out in about 2 hours. No structures were burned, It wa between I 84 and the railroad tracks.
This should tell us all that dry grass is a danger to fire this time of year.
