An F18c jet fighter breaks the sound barrier right in front of the audience during the Oregon International Air Show, August 29, 2009. The sonic boom was quite a surprise to everyone.

Wow, believe or not, this was heard, not exactly as a sonic boom, but as a different jet sound, up in Vancouver, WA.

Yeah, thanks. I guess the pictures and descriptions I saw when I looked up sonic boom led me to believe that was what happened. But this was not actually a sonic boom. Sorry for the confusion.
