This year, the Oregon Air Show featured the US Air Force Thunderbirds! The show ran through the weekend of August 28-30. The weather on Saturday caused some delays, but Sunday was clear and sunny - great weather for flying and for photographing aircraft.

No, I was at a park a few miles from the airport - lined up with the runway so I got them coming and going. 12 megapixels helps get them closer! Thanks for the compliment.
Great Shots...
I was on the flight line Saturday. I got a couple of decent shots but often with the overcast the coloring was not vibrant like yours. Also, I am not an experienced photographer. Tough to catch one of those 700mph in a frame!
Wow! That is a great picture! I don't know if I could fight in one of those jets, but it would sure be cool to ride in one!
