On September 4, 2009, I was fortunate enough to be up at Mirror Lake on the SE side of Mt. Adams the morning we all woke up with new snow, and it was above me about 1000 feet... painting the ground white in a thick layer. IT was a cold and wildly windy night that night, I was afraid the tent would blow clear across the country with me inside!
Later in the day I drove over to the west side of the mountain where I was blessed to see sunset on both the nearby Mt. Adams and the farther away Mt. Hood to the south. What a lovely world we live in!
