On Sunday 9/13/2009 at about 7::00am, I took our dog out front for a little play time,prior to heading to work.

As I walked out the front door, a strange light caught my eye in the eastern sky.

Lo and behold, I saw the most magnificent cloud and light formation I have ever seen.

Bulbous clouds outlined in the most amazing red / pink color you could imagine. It was almost " Alien " like....perhaps a UFO from Mars..?

My beautiful wife Pam took these amazing photos to share with all the KATU fans out thers.

Its called mammatus, which are mostly associated with a dissipating thunderstorm, typically found in the Midwestern states.
