I was fired the afternoon of Monday September 28th from my job as a barista at Parkers Fine coffee and Tea located at 510 se Morrison. Parker ( the owner) informed me that she "never wanted a single mother working there". She went on to say I was a moron and she could not stand me. I am a college educated mother of two recently divorced working for minimum wage as it's the only job I have been able to find in months. Because I was employed there I can not report her to the BBB for unfair employment practices. I am stuck. No job, no unemployment benefits and no where to turn.

Work is difficult to find, even harder if you are a single parent. More than one kid? They'll pass back and forth everything going around. I can relate but at the same time your employer needs consistantcy from his employees. Double edged sword.

What were you fired for..nothing? Is your old boss a jerk or did you do something? Because you were employed there why does that prohibit you from reporting your boss? Is the BBB the correct agency to even report your boss to -maybe another agency

Yep. Word gets around. Watch Parker's patrons leave in droves, loss of business, etc.
