This is Henry. He is the Giant Squidpooch from the murky abyss!!
Actually, he is all dressed up for his first Halloween. Henry is a Basset Hound puppy. I made his Giant Squid costume by hand, it is entirely needle felted. That means no sewing, not a single stitch! Needle felting is when a bunch of needles that are close together are pushing the fabric, in this case felt, together until the fibers "lock" and the pieces fuse to one another.
The Giant Squid is mysterious and embellished in folklore of the sea. Many a scary story has been written about the Kraken. In keeping with the traditions of a spooky Halloween costume I decided that a Giant Squid would be a perfect choice for my special pooch, Henry. Trick or Treat!
