About midday, Tuesday, November 10, 2009 fire broke out at Marysville Elementary School in SE Portland. I had my camera with me and visited the scene shortly after spotting the plume of smoke.

I am glad all the kids and staff got out safe. I hope it does effect the kids schooling either.

i am a 9th grader. My sister is a 3rd grader at Marrysville. This catastrophe is a traumatizing event that will live in the eyes of my little sister for the rest of her life. The best thing is that she was unharmed as well as her other classmates.
