Streamliner's race down the straightway

Human Power Challenge at PIR

Come join us on Memorial Day Weekend at Portland International Raceway, in Portland, Oregon, May 26 and 27th, 2007, for the 8th Annual Human Power Challenge. Fully faired streamliners, partially faired and unfaired recumbents, lowracers, velomobiles and trikes will all be racing for glory (and a few cash prizes) in the premiere Pacific Northwest HPV racing event.

The race formats will include road races, time trials, drag races, 200 meter flying speed trials, autocross, and much more. Manufacturers and dealers will be on hand to show the latest in recumbent bicycle technology. There will be a large test ride area and lots of bent riders to answer your questions. Admission is free for spectators, so come cheer your favorite racers to victory!

Also racing that weekend is our companion organization, Electrathon America, with their America Cup Championship. They feature racing small three-wheeled electric vehicles that are designed to travel as far as possible in a one-hour time limit. Participants range from high school teams to circuit racing pros.

Get in the race! The Human Power Challenge!
