PORTLAND, Ore. If you thought Portland was cold this morning, just head east on I-84 for 230 miles to a small town named Meacham.

Temperatures this morning at Portland Airport dipped down to 14 degrees, according to the National Weather Service website data.

To the east in Meacham, a small mountain town between Pendleton and La Grande along I-84 and in the Blue Mountains, reported a low temperature of -14°F (-25°C) this morning.

Meacham is known for its extreme winter temperatures.

Now that's really cold!
