Several consecutive days of low temperatures below freezing have created amazing ice formations around the waterfalls in the Columbia River Gorge. Ice is accumating at the base of Horsetail Falls and Multnomah Falls, creating growing mounds of ice. Waterfall spray has been freezing everything it touches, including the ground surrounding the falls, so caution is advised when visiting the waterfalls in the cold.
