Sweet Pea and her "Mom" have been staying with us for the last few weeks as they go through a difficult personal time. When "Mom" went to Minnesota to be with family for Christmas, Sweet Pea stayed with us. We've totally fallen in love with her and she enjoys car rides, treats and 'hanging with us' a lot. Last night, New Years eve, she broke out of our fenced yard and ran away. Possibly she was scared by a loud noise or something, we don't know. She is a runner and was spotted several miles from our home about an hour later. By the time we arrived she had escaped her would-be rescuers, the Washington County Police (great people!). She is a long way from her original home in Dundee, Or and we don't know in what direction she may be headed. She is extremely shy and won't normally come to any strangers. It's possible that she might be enticed by the offer of a car ride or a treat by a female or child. She's especially shy of men. We are so worried about our 10 year old girl. She's a beautiful blonde ChowChow with a collar and tags. She registered in Yamhill County. A reward is being offered for her succesful return to us. Please call 503-314-6665, 503-318-7979 or 503-330-6022 with any information. If spotted, it would be best to call, try to keep her contained and let us try to capture her. We are heartbroken and want to have her home by the time her 'Mom' gets back! Please help.
