Sea Lion

The Giant is back!

Taken this morning 1/19/10 at around 7:30am
He came back this year!
We live in a floating home on the Willamette and we took this picture of the huge Sea Lion "camping out" on the deck next door. This is where he spends the night.
Quite a Sight to see!!
We've named him "Andre the Giant" ;o)

Well, if the hatchery fish aren't caught, they will cross with the natives;bye-bye wild fish populations. If they don't raise hatchery fish, there would be a hit of about $10 billion to the Oregon/Washington commercial fishing and related industries.

Stop fishing for these endangered Salmon and you'll save more than these sea lions eat. They live in the water, we dont. They should be able to eat what the eff they want if its in the water also.

I agree. They are supposedly endangered, yet here he is, one of over 1 million, waiting for endangered salmon to arrive. Kill the think. I wonder how much "bologna" could be made and how many state prisoners could be fed with 100 or so sea lions!

Shoot him, he is waiting for the spring chinook salmon to arrive so he can eat them and destroy the fishery along with the the thousands of other sea lions who live in the columbia.
