At 7 a.m. Friday morning, February 5th, motorists were forced to alter their route when a malfunctioning train blocked Ehlen Rd heading to 99E in Aurora.
A call to local police made it clear that Union Pacific Railroad officials didn't know the reason for the malfunction, which made an extended delay even more likely. After a half hour wait, many motorists diverted their route to Airport Road to get access to 99E in Canby.
The roads and freeways in Marion and Clackamas county seemed unusually busy, all day.
