Gresham Feb. 8 2010 Early Spring or what?

Mini Irises pop up in February

A homeowner in Gresham was surprised to find these exquisite little 4 inch Irises popping up through the soggy soil in early February. Not only does she not know what variety they are, she doesn't remember ever planing them. Is this an indicator of an earlier than usual Spring after our mild January weather? That is yet to be seen. But they sure are a welcome sight after some rather dreary days!
