Mustang Foal born Father's Day 2007 with 5 legs, 4 normal and one extra one. Speculated that it was the West Nile Vaccine given to the mare during pregnancy. Though strange looking, the little fella is completely healthy.

How much would it cost to have the 5th leg removed? I can see that being like a dew claw on a hunting dog and getting caught in something, could be a major problem....easier to fix when little. Poor thing....

The reason I am commenting on this article is that yesterday, a foal was born on my farm, and it has the exact same "specialty". The only difference is that the mother of the horse has never recieceved the west nile vaccinaction. Any Advice?
