I took a fella, Dave, his dad and their friend to a productive lil spot. Randy( Dave`s dad) caught his 1st steelhead EVER and was to humble to be in the pic. So I, Damon, did the honors. Dave is holding his catch. Good times, watching a fisherperson catch their first steel!! The friend, Rose also had a great fight but that fish was able to wiggle free.
Dave`s dad`s native!!

Wow the first 2 commenters are pretty quick to jump to conclusions about what they think is a native fish. Hope your not that quick when you retain a fish on your own. You may accidentially retain a native since you can't pick one out in a photo

It put the pics up in the wrong order, sorry for the misunderstanding. I am holding Randy`s nate for release. Dave is holding the hatchery fish Dave ("his catch") caught. I said that, right up there. Have a wonderful day!

That my friends is NOT a native!!! Those are 2 different fish, held by 2 different people. I mean it`s so obvious it`s the dorsal fin in the pic of the HATCHERY. You`ll notice the pic of ME, Damon, holding the NATIVE in the water for release.WAKE UP

You should not be holding that native fish that way, we don't do it that way in Alaska.
