I was so excited when I saw the swirl behind my lure, then it was gone! I kept telling my husband that it was a BIG one. On my little trout pole, I fought the lugger to the canoe. I was so afraid that he would get away. My hubby scooped him into the canoe and then the real fight was on. Fish floppin', dog jumpin', boat a sloshin'. What a fun time. My first steelhead! Yahoo! Who would have thought that I'd hook into a second one an hour later. The hubby was a great sport and even cleaned all of them.

Oh ya! Coffenbury Lake. We live here at the coast and took a big on just like this out of that same lake about 7 years ago. They are there but they are few and far between. CONGRATULATIONS!
