St. Paul Lutheran Church Invites Children to High Seas Expedition: Exploring the Mighty Love of God
Sherwood, OR - A free summer kids’ event called High Seas Expedition will be hosted at St. Paul Lutheran Church from July 26th to July 30th. Kids go on a vast voyage through God’s Word as they participate in memorable Bible-learning activities, sing catchy songs, play teamwork-building games, dig into yummy treats, experience electrifying Bible adventures, collect Bible Memory Buddies to remind them of God’s Word, and create Bible Point crafts they’ll take home and play with all summer long. Plus, kids will learn to look for evidence of God all around them through something called God Sightings. Each day concludes at The Floating Finale—a celebration that gets everyone involved in living what they’ve learned. Family members and friends are encouraged to join in daily for this special time at 11:45am.
This year St. Paul’s VBS has a special musical group, Captive Free, who is going to be helping lead the music and worship throughout the week. Captive Free is a relational music ministry team sponsored by Youth Encounter, that ministers in churches, schools, vacation Bible schools, assisted living homes, detention centers, hospitals, and orphanages in the U.S.
St. Paul’s VBS usually has a large attendance of over 300 children and volunteers.
High Seas Expedition is for kids from Pre-school to 5th grade and will run from 9am to 12pm each day. For more information, call 503-625-6648 or sign up at www.stpaullcms.net.

Perhaps this Lutheran group should also tell the kiddies what a racist Martin Luther was. Luther hated Jews and said so in his many writings. Yea, don't let our kids grow up to be solid citizens who are freethinkers.

do you have nothing better to do! Brain washing... Really! Let kids have fun!!!

I'm all for kids having fun. But, If this stuff is not crammed down your throat as a child the chances of an educated adult buying into the church is between slim and none.

I am saved by grace. I went to Bible School and was not brain washed but heard the wonderful stories of Jesus Christ and his unselfish love as he died on the cross for our sins and then rose from the grave. I had fun. I was saved as an adult.

Apparently, snb_cab has never attended or HELPED with a VBS program. To watch these children engaging with other children as they learn about the love of Jesus, that is a blessing in itself! Out of the heart, the mouth speaks snb_cab.

most of you are forgetting the important people in this issue. The children. What is so wrong in showing them faith, youd prefer to tell them "when you die nothing happens".. Yeah that's great parenting. Let the kids have faith in something!

Especially since most kids can't even have faith in their own parents. VBS is a way to interact with the kids, we don't brainwash or shove it down anyones throats, we "welcome" anyone and if they choose to not be apart that's ok too, everyone's equal
