Dressage at Devonwood 2010

Devonwood Equestrian Center in Sherwood, Oregon, hosts the area's annual premiere dressage competition of the summer. The facility is world class and the setting is picturesque.

In dressage, horses and riders perform prescribed patterns that increase in complexity as they rise through the levels. Horses gleam in the sun and riders are immaculately turned out in traditional attire.

Each ridden test represents hours of practice and training at home to develop teamwork between horse and rider that appears fluid and effortless.
