Washington and Oregon have hundreds of local city, county and, state park not to mention the many national parks and monuments. From the Mountain to the ocean coast line . Mt St Helens to Lighthouses and Historic Forts. Today is a good day to Visit a Local Park or Monument.
Many can be visited and enjoyed on a day or weekend trip. However to really experience a park, it must be revisited over and over to gain the true beauty of a place in different moods, seasons and, lighting. Most can not be fully explored and enjoyed on one trip but require repeated trips and exploration. Load up the family, fill up with gas and a picnic lunch get out and see the sights at a local park or monument. Pack it in Pack it out. Stay on the trails and Leave no sign you where there.
